OUR HOSTING
Process & ELIGIBILITY
Our Hosting Process
1) Host in July or August for 3 weeks (choose one or both months)
An exchange will go quickly with only three weeks to host, but the connections and friendships you make will last forever.
2) Fill out our online one page application or update your old one
For new families, you can simply fill out our
host application. If you are a past family, we will update upon matching you with a student.
3) Matching phase
We match you with one or two students based on similar family interests, after reviewing your application.
4) Complete background checks
Student safety is our top priority. Part of your screening includes criminal background checks for all family members over 18. This is paid for by ACE.
5) Schedule a home check with one of our representatives
Your local coordinator will schedule a time to come to your home and meet with all family members. During the visit, they will explain the program in more detail and answer any questions you might have and get to know your family. They will also tour your home, which is usually no more than one hour is required every two years.
6) Attend our Host Family Orientation on June 29th, 2025 at 1:30PM
Location will be given out to families directly.
7) Prepare for your student
We encourage everyone to make a welcome sign as this makes the students feel welcomed and lets them know you are excited to receive them in your home.
8) Have fun and enjoy your time with them
Hopefully one day you will get to visit them in France and be welcomed in their home.
